Upcoming Projects at SCAD in 2023

I am very excited to announce my next major lighting design project.

The SCAD School of Film & Acting will be presenting Pippin at the historic Lucas Theater in Savannah, GA, in May 2023. I will be the lighting designer of the show under director Victor Maog!

I am very excited to get started on this project. Although I have limited experience thus far, I have worked as a lighting designer for SCAD before as well as learned so much from Professor Ruth Hutson about the ins and outs of light, design, and the combination.

Additionally, I will be working under Lighting Designer (and my good friend) Morgan Harrington this winter for The Play That Goes Wrong, also in the Lucas Theater. I will likely be acting as Assistant Lighting Designer or Head Programmer, or something similar to those roles. This will also be an exciting time to gain more knowledge and experience of the process, especially in the same space I will be designing in soon (and amongst great friends!). This will be showcased in March 2023.

Lastly, my friend Ava Ansorg will be the lighting designer for African Mean Girls, taking place in the Mondanaro Theater, and also in May 2023. She will also be joining me with her brilliant expertise for some parts of Pippin to help with the massive workload I will have on my shoulders.

Thank you to Ruth Hutson, Catori Swann, Colleen Mond, Karl Rouse, and all of the other amazing faculty members at SCAD for the constant support, wisdom, and extraordinary work done right beside us.
